Zig: The Autobiography

Oct 17–18, 2005 - comment

Today Dr. Land’s special guest is Zig Ziglar, the motivational speaker who administers huge doses of encouragement all over he world. He joins us today to talk about the book he has written about his life, and the people who helped to shape it.

He’s an amazing man with an amazing message! I’d like to know more about how the man and message came to be. He has titled his autobiography simply, Zig. He has also penned a new little devotional titled Life Lifters which incorporates many of the philosophies that he has developed over his life.

Gratitude is such a lovely quality. It allows the one who has been successful to bask in the glow of success while at the same time exalting those who have gone before, blazing the trail, or come alongside us, or even been there when we’ve stumbled and fallen, to bind up our wounds and help us get back on our feet and back into the race. I hope that as we hear Zig Ziglar today give tribute to those who have shaped his life it will cause each of us to pause and remember those who deserve their places of tribute in our lives. Have you erected a Wall of Gratitude in your life? Today might be a good day to start!

Comments are moderated to preserve the family-oriented nature of this website and in an attempt to avoid comment spam. We welcome opposing viewpoints, and we will not turn comments away as long as your views are presented with respect to everyone.

Please follow the these guidelines to insure your comments will be posted:

  1. Use a real name, at least a real first name. We find folks are less-rude online when not hiding behind a screen-name.
  2. Name-calling and vulgar-language will not be tolerated. Zero-tolerance is our policy. We will not spend time editing profanity. If it contains foul language, your post will be deleted. Oh, and we decide what is and what is not vulgar.
  3. Comments must be on topic. Correspondence or general comments (compliments, complaints, and otherwise) are best delivered here or expressed on your own personal Web site.
  4. And please, do not post in ALL CAPS. It looks like you're screaming. :-)
