Woman of Splendor

May 12–13, 2005 - comment

Women have so many responsibilities and are pulled in so many different directions. I know my wife wears more hats than I realize, and I just thank God for her every day.

Women in today’s society have so many different and demanding roles to fill. And I don’t think I’ve met anyone who knows more about that than our guest. Linda Weber is the wife of Stu Weber and the mother of three grown, married sons. In addition to her role as helpmate, nurturer, relater and designer in her family, Linda has written Mom, You’re Incredible!, and speaks nationwide at FamilyLife Marriage and Parenting conferences for Campus Crusade for Christ. The Webers have been married for over 32 years.

As Weber relates in her new book, Woman of Splendor, confusing images in society, especially the blurring of gender distinctness, have done much to undermine God’s design for womanhood. In her back-to-basics book, Weber looks at the irreplaceable, irrefutable role of women past and present, making a poignant case for celebrating femininity.

Comments are moderated to preserve the family-oriented nature of this website and in an attempt to avoid comment spam. We welcome opposing viewpoints, and we will not turn comments away as long as your views are presented with respect to everyone.

Please follow the these guidelines to insure your comments will be posted:

  1. Use a real name, at least a real first name. We find folks are less-rude online when not hiding behind a screen-name.
  2. Name-calling and vulgar-language will not be tolerated. Zero-tolerance is our policy. We will not spend time editing profanity. If it contains foul language, your post will be deleted. Oh, and we decide what is and what is not vulgar.
  3. Comments must be on topic. Correspondence or general comments (compliments, complaints, and otherwise) are best delivered here or expressed on your own personal Web site.
  4. And please, do not post in ALL CAPS. It looks like you're screaming. :-)

Comments will not appear immediately and are subject to editing or deletion. We will make every attempt to check new comments in a timely manner, though there will likely be delays on the weekends and around holidays. If you wish to keep your comments for your records, please save them on your own computer as comments are not guaranteed to be left up indefinitely.

Other than that, we welcome you and hope to see thoughtful discussions about For Faith & Family broadcasts.
