I am confused. We fight wars against religious nations like Iran and Iraq. Our allies are secular nations. Is secularism really the enemy? EU has lower rates of obesity, divorce, homicide, violent crime, burglary, kidnapping, rape . . . the list goes on, as compared to the U.S. So is the argument that secularism leads to sin? Because in the case of the EU they are committing no more sin than we are here in America and the law of the EU is undeniably more secular than that of the U.S.
Why can’t we have secular laws but chose to live by religious principles? Remember only secular laws protect religious freedom for all. Make the laws that protect and represent everyone, not just the majority, but the minority also. From their we make personal choices based on our own belief system.
