Song of Solomon

Feb 8–9, 2006 - comment

We have mentioned this before: love and sex are attention grabbing topics. We continue to see it portrayed in advertisements and sitcoms. Through TV, movies and magazines children are learning about how the world views “love” – from dating, to courtship, marriage and even after marriage. And what is so sad is that for some people this is how they learn the birds and the bees. But, there is a cure or an antidote for this poison.

The obvious answer is God’s Word, but to go deeper, it is the Song of Solomon. And that is why we decided it is so important to air this series again. In this series, we can see God’s plan and perfect model for Romance.

Today our guest is once again Tommy Nelson, pastor of the Denton Bible Church in Denton, Texas. Tommy began a series of messages with 2,500 singles at the Metro Bible study on the Song of Solomon.

Thank you for visiting FaithandFamily.com, a broadcast ministry of The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Comments are moderated to preserve the family-oriented nature of this website and in an attempt to avoid comment spam. We welcome opposing viewpoints, and we will not turn comments away as long as your views are presented with respect to everyone.

Please follow the these guidelines to insure your comments will be posted:

  1. Use a real name, at least a real first name. We find folks are less-rude online when not hiding behind a screen-name.
  2. Name-calling and vulgar-language will not be tolerated. Zero-tolerance is our policy. We will not spend time editing profanity. If it contains foul language, your post will be deleted. Oh, and we decide what is and what is not vulgar.
  3. Comments must be on topic. Correspondence or general comments (compliments, complaints, and otherwise) are best delivered here or expressed on your own personal Web site.
  4. And please, do not post in ALL CAPS. It looks like you're screaming. :-)

Comments will not appear immediately and are subject to editing or deletion. We will make every attempt to check new comments in a timely manner, though there will likely be delays on the weekends and around holidays. If you wish to keep your comments for your records, please save them on your own computer as comments are not guaranteed to be left up indefinitely.

Other than that, we welcome you and hope to see thoughtful discussions about For Faith & Family broadcasts.
