Problem of Life With God

Today Dr. Land’s guest is Rev. Tommy Nelson, pastor of the Denton Bible Church near Dallas, Texas, a featured speaker at the 2500 member Metro Bible Study in Dallas and a popular speaker for The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Campus Crusade for Christ, the Navigators and other ministries. He is also the of author of the book we’ll be discussing today, The Problem of Life with God: Living with a Perfect God in an Imperfect World. Since this interview was first recorded Tommy’s book has been re-released under a new title, A Life Well Lived: A Study of the Book of Ecclesiates.

Tommy Nelson is a great communicator. He’s funny, down-to-earth, and he tells it like it is. And what he tells us in this book is something that all of us need to hear.

I imagine most of us have had one of those sleepless nights wrestling with one of those Big Questions. Tommy Nelson does a wonderful job of showing us that God knew we’d have those moments of searching and doubt-and he gave us marvelous answers in the book of Ecclesiastes.

Tommy Nelson also has a great series on church history (13 CDs).  His overview of church history is very informative and entertaining.  It’s great for helping saints mature in the faith and it is also a great witnessing tool.  Got friends and family asking questions about the Catholic Church you can’t answer? This series will answer those questions.  Thanks for this opportunity to hear Tommy Nelson explaining the Book of Ecclesiates.  God bless.
