More Than a Prophet

Aug 27–28, 2007 - comments: 3

With the war in Iraq and the terrorist threats levied at the United States we often hear unfamiliar terms bandied about regarding Islam, such as a religious jihad, or fatwa yet we often find ourselves poorly informed on just what Muslims do believe about Christianity and Jesus.

That is why we have asked our friend, Dr. Ergun Caner to join us today. Dr. Caner was raised a Muslim and converted to Christianity before he reached adulthood. He and his co-author, his brother Emir, have spent over twenty years of study in Islam. I believe he will bring a keen understanding of both beliefs to our listeners.

For the world’s one billion Muslims, Jesus is a prophet. A highly respected prophet, but one of many throughout history. For Christians, Jesus is more than a prophet. He alone is God incarnated, Lord and Savior. And therein lies the most profound difference between the two faiths of Islam and Christianity.

Your 8/27 mp3 file of the Ergun Caner interview on the topic of More than a Prophet day 2 is not complete.  It contains only a few seconds of the interview.

Thanks,

Mark
