Men’s Relational Toolbox
Dec 7–8, 2006
Men and their tools. Certainly, for many men, the need for tools is right up there just below food and oxygen. Men enjoy tools. Men use tools to fix and build things. Men understand tools. So, it is from this basic metaphor that today’s guest talks to men about adding some new tools to their relational toolboxes to help them to fix and build relationships with the people they love. But ladies, don’t feel left out. In the next few minutes, you’ll get some valuable insight into that man in your life.
Today’s guest, Dr. Gary Smalley, is a well-known speaker and an author of more than 40 books on relationships. He is the founder and Chairman of the Board of the Smalley Relationship Center in Branson, Missouri. He and his sons, Greg and Michael, have co-written a new book titled Men’s Relational Toolbox. Today he joins us as we open this toolbox together.
Regardless of where you are in your relationship, this interview will help you communicate more effectively with those you love. Men come home and try to communicate with their wives the same way they communicate during a meeting at work, and then are surprised when it doesn’t work like they expected. Gary teaches us how to use the right tools…and I would like to encourage everyone to listen.
