Marriage Under Fire

Jun 4–5, 2006 - comment

Today the battle lines are being drawn for a major skirmish that may well affect the outcome of the war to save our society as we know it.

Today Dr. Land’s special guest is Dr. James Dobson, clinical psychologist, author and the well-known and loved head of Focus on the Family. He is a friend of this broadcast and has been with us here before. Today he joins us today to talk about his new book titled Marriage Under Fire, which talks about the battle we are facing in this country to save the institution of marriage.

Dr. James Dobson is one of the leading voices working to save marriage in America, and we are honored to have him with us today to share what he feels must be done if we are going to win this battle.

We do not speak lightly when we say that the outcome of this battle for marriage will be a defining moment for Western civilization. Each of us must do what we can do to make a difference. We need to stand up and speak up — and most of all, we need to pray. Pray like the rest of your life depends on it — because, dear ones, it does!

Thank you for visiting FaithandFamily.com, a broadcast ministry of The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Comments are moderated to preserve the family-oriented nature of this website and in an attempt to avoid comment spam. We welcome opposing viewpoints, and we will not turn comments away as long as your views are presented with respect to everyone.

Please follow the these guidelines to insure your comments will be posted:

  1. Use a real name, at least a real first name. We find folks are less-rude online when not hiding behind a screen-name.
  2. Name-calling and vulgar-language will not be tolerated. Zero-tolerance is our policy. We will not spend time editing profanity. If it contains foul language, your post will be deleted. Oh, and we decide what is and what is not vulgar.
  3. Comments must be on topic. Correspondence or general comments (compliments, complaints, and otherwise) are best delivered here or expressed on your own personal Web site.
  4. And please, do not post in ALL CAPS. It looks like you're screaming. :-)

Comments will not appear immediately and are subject to editing or deletion. We will make every attempt to check new comments in a timely manner, though there will likely be delays on the weekends and around holidays. If you wish to keep your comments for your records, please save them on your own computer as comments are not guaranteed to be left up indefinitely.

Other than that, we welcome you and hope to see thoughtful discussions about For Faith & Family broadcasts.
