Kid CEO

Feb 15, 2008 - comments: 2

In these days of corporate scandal, there’s a far more pervasive and serious problem going on right under our noses. It’s a family takeover orchestrated by our kids. That’s right-children are taking control of family units in record numbers. When a man and woman marry, they occupy the leadership roles in their relationship. But in some cases, as children enter the family arena, that begins to change. In effect, the children become Kid CEOs and the parents become the support staff. Today Dr. Land’s special guest is Pastor Ed Young author, radio and television host, and pastor of one of the fastest growing churches of the last century.

Our listeners are about to hear how many parents are abdicating their leadership roles and allowing the kids to become the CEOs of the family. But our guest, Pastor Ed Young, founder and senior pastor of Fellowship Church in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas will offer our listeners the advice and encouragement they need to regain control of their family. As the leader of my household I am looking forward to hearing what Pastor Young will share with us.

If you want your children to face the road of life with self-assurance, follow God’s dynamic design for family: God, marriage, kids. It will bring order to your home, vibrancy to your marriage, security to your family, and sanity to your life. Won’t you join Pastor Young and we here at For Faith and Family by taking the lead of great Old Testament leader Joshua and reiterate for your family: “As for me and my household, we will follow the Lord God Almighty.”

How fast can your book be made available as an audio book??  We have three grown kids with the very issues you discussed today, Feb. 15 on Faith and Family. The BIG problem is...they DO NOT (honestly) have time to read. Listening while in the car is the greatest way to capture silence and listen to this great insight.  Having twins as the last addition to your family is a great complication (and a miracle blessing). This family is on the brink of a great crash!  I can’t sit them on my lap anymore and read to them :).  Thanks for listening.  Jan

Hi Jan,

It doesn’t look like Ed Young’s book Kid CEO is available as an audio book from his publisher. However, we did find this sermon series from Ed that looks like it includes his sermons on very similar subject matter. Also, more of his sermon series on the “family” subject are listed here.

I hope that helps.  Also, the interview you heard with Ed from Friday’s broadcast will be available later today for free download at the top of the right-hand column of this page under “Listen Center.”

Thanks,

Matt (Radio Staff)
