Got Life?

Mar 1–2, 2006 - comment

Today on the broadcast we have a favorite guest of our listeners, Dr. Frank Harber. He joined us once before, and we’ve had many, many requests to have him back. He is a dynamic, energetic evangelist and an apologist who has teamed with Dr. Ken Hemphill, President of Southwestern Baptist Seminary to develop an incredible set of tools to assist Christians in sharing their faith.

Dr. Harber, is the president of the Institute for Christian Defense, which is dedicated to helping Christians learn how to use apologetics, or Christian evidence to defend their faith. He is also the Evangelist in Residence and Professor at Southwestern Baptist Seminary and is the staff evangelist at Travis Avenue Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He is a published author and lives with his wife Becky, twins Graham and Gabrielle and son Hunter, in Fort Worth.

I Peter 3:15 says: “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” Certainly, especially in times such as these, it is even more important to be able to naturally, and effectively share our faith with those around us. Especially those in our families, in our neighborhoods, and at our workplace who may be struggling to find meaning and hope for the future.

Thank you for visiting FaithandFamily.com, a broadcast ministry of The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Comments are moderated to preserve the family-oriented nature of this website and in an attempt to avoid comment spam. We welcome opposing viewpoints, and we will not turn comments away as long as your views are presented with respect to everyone.

Please follow the these guidelines to insure your comments will be posted:

  1. Use a real name, at least a real first name. We find folks are less-rude online when not hiding behind a screen-name.
  2. Name-calling and vulgar-language will not be tolerated. Zero-tolerance is our policy. We will not spend time editing profanity. If it contains foul language, your post will be deleted. Oh, and we decide what is and what is not vulgar.
  3. Comments must be on topic. Correspondence or general comments (compliments, complaints, and otherwise) are best delivered here or expressed on your own personal Web site.
  4. And please, do not post in ALL CAPS. It looks like you're screaming. :-)

Comments will not appear immediately and are subject to editing or deletion. We will make every attempt to check new comments in a timely manner, though there will likely be delays on the weekends and around holidays. If you wish to keep your comments for your records, please save them on your own computer as comments are not guaranteed to be left up indefinitely.

Other than that, we welcome you and hope to see thoughtful discussions about For Faith & Family broadcasts.
