God’s Grace From Ground Zero
Sep 7–9, 2005
September 11th is one of those days that everyone seems to remember where they were and what they were doing. Today on For Faith and Family, with Dr. Richard Land, our guest will be sharing what he was doing on that fateful day and how he saw, first hand, that God was at work in New York City.
This Saturday is the 4-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States. As our way of honoring those who died and defended our country on 9/11, we are providing special programming this week that will focus on God’s grace through tragedy and loss. We’d also like to ask you to join us in prayer for those who are dealing with the recent hurricanes in Louisianna and surrounding areas.
In the aftermath of September 11, across this nation, citizens flocked to prayer vigils and memorial services. As God told Jim Cymbala, it has been harvest time. Never before in recent memory has there been such openness to the gospel message and hearts so tender toward the Lord. His Spirit has been moving mightily among us. Look around you, American believers. Look at your mission fields-your neighborhoods, your carpools, the desk next to yours at the office. The harvest is still plentiful. America needs hope today more than ever. Let’s all be prepared to give an account of the hope that is in us. May we all be people to sow, to reap, and to speak for our Lord.
