Are you facing giants in your life? Do problems, addictions or fears intimidate you and cause you to daily walk in defeat? Today’s guest points us to the powerful stones that can slay our giants!
Our special guest is Dennis Jernigan, popular songwriter, recording artist and worship leader. He joins us today to talk about his book, Giant Killers: Crushing Strongholds, Securing Freedom in your Life. I have sung Dennis’ worship songs, “You Are My All in All” and “As the Deer Thirsts for the Water” as I have worshipped over the years, so it is a pleasure and an honor to meet the man behind the music.
I believe that Dennis’ example of victory in slaying the giants in life will be an encouragement and inspiration to many in our listening audience who have found themselves facing their own giants. He shows us the stones to defeat our giants and encourages all of us to seek a deep relationship with Jesus Christ that will enable us to experience the same victory over the giants in our lives.

I have never listened to Faith and Family before. I just happened upon it today. It was a good thing to hear anything hopeful from about homosexuality. I usually only hear threats and condemnation instead of what I believe Jesus would minister. Thanks to Faith and Family and Dennis Jernigan for hope during my struggle. I am learning just now that homosexuality is one of my hurdles not who I am . It is uncommon these days to find information that truly develope a strong foundation with God. I cant tell you how many times my heart has been let down by others spouting hate. I often wonder who they think Jesus is. I do not believe Jesus would come in these times and preach so much hate. I know He suffered unthinkable, unbearable pain as a man.for our benefit and I can only hope that I can finally overcome my sinful, selfish, doubtful nature. Thank you, and please pray that all of us lost sheep come to understand the true nature of God and invite and accept Jesus.

I stumbled upon the broadcast at a time when I needed to hear about trying to connect with what is not my perspective on life/about life, but what is Gods’ perspective.
I am never driving on a Friday evening and if I am I never have on a christian boradcast - but today for some reason I did - which led me to the sight.
Thank you for the broadcast, it was a blessing to me.

Dennis used to go to the same church that I still do. I was so excited to hear him on your radio program. God truely works through him. Worship lead by Dennis is very passionate. His heart is transparent. What an example. Thanks for having him on your program and making my day—twice. I’m currently reading Giant Killers and will share it with many.

Some time ago, I heard both of your programs with Dennis Jernigan, and I was delighted to happen to hear his final message again on Faith and Family. I am SO BLESSED by the testimony of Dennis. He communicates well, that victory over sin is a choice, and that victory doesn’t mean you are never tempted again. I used to cry everytime I heard “As the Deer Panteth..” because it is so worshipful. But knowing that this song was written by an ex-homosexual is such a testimony of God’s grace, and such a hope to all believers (an unbelievers) of the resurrection power available through Christ and His victory over sin and death. What hands on tools he gives - to use temptation as a tool to lead up into worship through praise. THAT is the abundant life Christ has promised, and what joy Dennis’ testimony has brought to my soul. Thanks.

I like to listen to the program often but when I heard this one it sparked my interest. I try to love with a open heart and mind. But not all my friends or even family members do. I got inspired to let them know that they should not be looking at others sins with hate or such a closed mind, that they should always try to look at others the way God does. And to pray for them out of love and not hate.
I also happen to love music and this testimony inspired me to keep seeking the Lords song. And keep asking the Lord to give me the words to share his songs that rest inside my own heart.
Thank you it was a joy to listen to you Dennis Jernigan for sharing and I am going to be sharing this wit many others.
