Founding Faith

Nov 24–25, 2009 - comments: 1

Both Christians and Secularists desperately want our country’s founding fathers to be like them. Evangelicals often think that that they were mostly Bible believing Protestants, while atheists claim America’s fore-fathers were mostly Deists at best. The truth, however, is more complex than that.

On today’s For Faith & Family with Dr. Richard Land we are happy to welcome Steven Waldman to the broadcast. Steven is the editor-in-chief, president and co-founder of Beliefnet.com, and his new book, Founding Faith: Providence, Politics, and the Birth of Religious Freedom in America, looks at five founding fathers who had great influence in determining the relationship between religion and government. Join us as Dr. Land talks with Steven Waldman about the complicated issues surrounding the history of religious liberty in America.

I was only able to catch 10 minutes of the show but found it very interesting.  I would like a full transcript of the show if possible.
