Every Child Needs a Praying Mom

May 8–9, 2008 - comment

When it comes to the subject of prayer, Fern Nichols and Moms in Touch have become household words. This is the organization which has mobilized moms all over the world to pray for their children and their schools. From a humble act of faith that began quietly at her kitchen table to the mighty ministry which now spans the globe, Fern Nichols has learned, in the trenches, volumes about the power of prayer.

She has been a guest with us in the past, and today we are blessed to have her with us again to share some of the wisdom she has gained over the years which she has collected in a new book titled Every Child Needs a Praying Mom and the companion devotional called Prayers From a Mom’s Heart.

Fern writes, “Why pray? Because the power of one praying life is of great value. Family members pulled to safety, husbands, saved, schools transformed, family relationships restored and children nurtured in the faith-these are only a sampling of the great effect a life of prayer can have… I’ve written this book to boost (their) confidence in prayer and in (their) ability to pray… My prayer is that by the time (someone) finishes this book (they’ll) be excited, energized, and enlightened about (their) prayer life. For while prayer sometimes changes circumstances and can even change other people’s minds, it almost always changes the heart of the pray-er.”

  4. And please, do not post in ALL CAPS. It looks like you're screaming. :-)
