Day of Truth 2008

Our students need your help and encouragement. For the twelfth year in a row, the The Gay, Lesbian, Straight Educational Network is sponsoring their annual Day of Silence in thousands of schools across America. But there is a growing movement of students who are taking a loving, respectful stand against this propaganda to promote the truth.
Mike Johnson from the Alliance Defense Fund is here to tell us about The Day of Truth on April 28th. It’s a day that counters the promotion of the homosexual agenda and expresses a Christian perspective on the issue.
The Day of Truth is scheduled for April 28th. This is after the day The Gay, Lesbian, Straight Educational Network will sponsor the “Day of Silence.” But the Day of Silence is a misnomer, because what is truly being silenced is the Truth. The Day of Truth is an excellent opportunity for students to influence their classmates from a Christian perspective.
Mike serves as legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund, at its Regional Service Center for the Southeastern United States. Prior to joining ADF, a non-profit legal defense and advocacy organization dedicated to religious liberty, traditional family values, and the sanctity of life, Mike worked as an attorney with notable law firms in north and south Louisiana. He has been a principal drafter of pro-family legislation for Louisiana and states and municipalities across the country.

I wish I had something to say to this that could bring people to realize how naive this ‘Day of Truth’ is. You want the ‘truth’ people? The truth is that God’s message of love and tolerance isn’t even being practiced by His own people, Christians. People like this truly disgust me. People like you are the reason that 33% of all teenage suicides are gay/lesbian teens. People like you are the reason the gay and lesbian teens usually suffer from depression and feel they are not welcome in society. Does that make you proud? You are HURTING innocent teenagers. You are damaging and taking lives by this, yet you defend yourselves with the Bible, whose ultimate message is Love? Its really disappointing that the human race abuses each other like this. We’re all people, we’re all fighting out own battles, we all have our opinions, but when lives are at stake, that’s too far.
God is Love.
