Adoption

Apr 24, 2007 - comment

All of us who are Christians know what it means to be adopted by a loving father. Unfortunately there are millions of children in the world who need a physical adoption in addition to a spiritual one… and many people are being called to reach out to these little ones.

First, we’re going to talk about a type of adoption that many people don’t think about… adopting frozen embryos stored in fertility clinics. That’s why Dr. Land has invited back Ron Stoddart to the broadcast. Ron began an adoption program called Snowflake, which allows couples to adopt these embryos and bring them to term.

Like snowflakes, each embryo is fragile, unique and the most beautiful of God’s creations. In addition to your physician, you need to trust the people you choose to help you in these important decisions. Nightlight Christian Adoptions in Fullerton, California, has been in business for over 40 years. Frozen embryo adoption services, called Snowflake Adoption is one of the services of Nightlight. To learn more please visit the Nightlight homepage.

Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, have a passion for helping Christian families afford adoptions, and they have adopted three girls of their own from China. Our own Dwayne Hastings and his wife have also adopted a girl from China, and recently sat down with Mary Beth to talk about how God led them to international adoption.

Mary Beth Chapman’s story is so uplifting to hear. I’m sure many of our listeners have been contemplating adoption as well, but don’t see how they could ever afford it. Well, the Chapmans have set up a fund called Shaohannah’s Hope to help Christian families get over that hurdle. To learn more please visit Shaohannah’s Hope.

It’s one thing for us to talk about the need for adoption today, but it’s another thing to talk to someone who knows that need first hand. Michael Reagan is going give us valuable insight into adoption from the inside. It goes beyond having a home and parents to accepting God’s eternal gift of adoption.
