Aborted and Lived

Feb 4–5, 2008 - comments: 12

Today on the broadcast our special guest is Gianna Jessen, a young woman who is, indeed, the survivor of a late term saline abortion.

That was 1977, just four years after Roe v. Wade became the law of the land in America. Abortion has been since that time our greatest national disgrace. It’s absolutely staggering to consider the statistics-over 4000 babies die in this country each day due to abortion. And it is even more staggering to think that there is a story that goes with each sad statistic. But we view that decision today with a victory-and not a defeat. Today we have the rare opportunity to hear one of those stories and to put a name with it. Gianna Jesson is the product of a saline abortion performed when her birth mother was in her seventh month of pregnancy. She is here today to share that story with us.

As I rode home yesterday and listened to your story Gianna I felt tears and praise swelling up in me all at the same time. God surely showed the world a miracle in you.
I felt your passion and genuine love for Daddy and that touched me. I can’t wait for 4:30pm today so I can listen to the 2nd half of your story. Thanks for living for the Father!

Certainly, by no coincidence, but, rather, by God’s divine purpose, whatever it may be, I have heard Gianna Jesson’s nearly incredible testimony two consecutive days while driving my car.

This is one of the most compelling and moving Christian testimonies I ever have heard! And As I have listened to Gianna, as rarely is the case, but as sometimes does, in fact, happen, it was as though I was hearing the female version of myself speak--all by God’s grace. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! I MUST be in touch with this precious child of God--an immutable profit of the Lord, and certainly, as Dr. Land said during the broadcast (1/23/07), one having the potent gift of exhortation.

“Then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things to the glory of God.” --1 Corinthians 10:31 (The Interlinear Hebrew-Greek-English Bible, by Sovereign Grace Publishers)

What a moving story. I only caught the last 15 minutes of the interview, and upon getting to my hotel this evening, I immediately ordered the CD and Gianna’s book.
I can’t wait to listen to it, read it, and pass them along amongst my wife, daughters, nieces, all my other family and church members.
A tremendous inspiration that had a tremendous impact on me.
God bless you and please keep sharing your wonderful story.

I am thankful Gianna’s Mother and Grandmother introduced her to our loving Heavenly Father and that she turned her life over to Him because I was so richly blessed by her relationship with Him.  It would be an honor to meet her someday in Heaven.  Thank you For Faith and Family for bringing Gianna into my life and thank you Gianna for giving of yourself so I could grow closer to God through you.

I just read the book, Gianna, aborted and lived to tell about it. And I found it amazing what God had done. I helped me to understand, that we should give God the control of our life, no mater what. Thanks

I got to SEE and HEAR Gianna the other day in pgh, Pa. WHAT a testimony of faith.

2 VERY moving moments were when her MOTHER coldly walked up to her at a talk she was giving and said “I am your mother”. She describes her mom as “flawed and fragmented”

The 2nd thing was that the ABORTIONIST was forced to SIGN her birth certificate. This was her moment of vindicatiton I am sure.

God BLESS her. She is a gentle and sweet girl.

I was coming home from work today and listened to Gianna’s story.
Oh, you are a wonderful girl. I myself had an early term abortion with the “sucking out” method.
I have always had a really difficult time dealing with this.
As I’m writing this, I am having a lump in my throat.
You are a true miracle. I am so amazed at how articulate you are and how great your faith is.
You are what the definition of a christian is.
I wish you all the best in this world and the next. Please don’t quit talking to the young girls. If anyone can prevent more abortions happening, it would be you!
I admire you and wish nothing but the best.
Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I deal with my own heartache.
You are a true blessing.
