Reading the article above, how do we know which bible tells us the truth about God? I was taught that the King James version of the Bible taught the truth about God, but here in Mississippi, they use the Contemporary English Version.
I am confused, can you help me to understand which Bible really tells the truth about God?
God Bless You!

Unfortunately, I only heard a portion of this broadcast. However, what I heard did make me smile...not that the “new translation” is anything to smile about, just the outrage that there were books left out of this “Bible”.

Aren’t there books in the RC & Eastern Orthodox Bibles that are not in the Protestant versions?
Martin Luther wanted to leave out additional books as well.

God Bless!

Part 1: Faith-v-Feelings. Read 1Tim.4 & 2Tim.4:1-5. Man has twisted God’s perfect Word over the centuries, and changed it to fit what he wants it to say. Not every meaning was changed, but a little leaven leavens the whole lump. But let us make no mistake, it is man that has twisted the meaning of the Word. God’s Word remains unchanged. The people that initially penned God’s Word suffered torturous deaths for what they believed in/wrote. Any excuse of not living by it because they wrote it wrong is pathetically weak. False teachers have been teaching false doctrines inside religious buildings to accommodate people’s feelings (itching ears) for many years. Today’s ‘churches’ are ruled by satan, the father of lies; the Bible tells us this will happen. By what standard do we say that these teachers/doctrines are false?

Part 3: You, as well as they, will be held accountable to God for accepting their doctrines. It is each individuals responsibility to seek out God (Prov.25:2) and rightly divide the Word of Truth (2Tim.2:15), not follow the idols of their own mind and feelings. Let God be True and every man a liar (Rom.3:4). Each English translation could be taught to have a different meaning – so if someone doesn’t like the way KJV sounds, he/she can switch to NIV, ASV, etc. If a teacher actually taught the true meaning, his congregation would be much smaller because most people want to hear the message of feeling, not of fact. So if a person wants to know the true meaning of God’s Word he/she must do the research into the original text and interpretation.

Part 2: We must look to the original text to ensure it is being read in the proper context and interpretation. We say they are false teachers/wolves because we have the Bible, that never changes, as a standard, but they teach the doctrines of men, and blaspheme against God by teaching lies inside religious buildings. Their god is NOT the One True God, it is an idol of their own mind. They are the false teachers, preaching to people with itching ears, and have created a god that allows people to do what makes them feel good and are tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive (Eph.4:14).

Part 4: I encourage everyone to: 1) stay out of religious buildings (ie. ‘churches’) at all costs, they are ruled by satan – the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel has taken his seat in the ‘church’. They have people who want to hear what makes them feel good, and they have thus sought teachers who are willing to teach false doctrines in order to accommodate those feelings. 2) Study, and rightly divide the Word of Truth using the original Greek/Hebrew as guidance for proper interpretation. There is software, internet sites, palm computers, etc to aide in this language conversion. Then, and only then, will God reveal himself to you, 3) Get together with others who know the Truths as taken from God’s Word, and strengthen each other – this does not/should not be done on a ritualistic basis. 4) Use God’s Word as the standard by which you live your life, make your decisions, and to receive your salvation from its author, God Himself – Jesus, the Christ.
