I heard Dr Jeffries on Tuesday Aug 8 at FBC Dallas. He officiated the funeral for Betty Criswell (wife of WA Criswell). Robert is a very special friend to the Criswell Family and FBC. I admired what he had to say and presented it. I also appreciated him remembering WA as well. This couple was the perfect example of a ministry and family combined.

Hello Dr. Land,
It is with great joy I write you. Thank you for your positiion of standing up for God and country! But one thing is true, Not all teachers are has been. The dept of education may well have destroyed the levl of intellect in our country but those who can’t don’t necessarily become teachers. You did make a slight disparaging remark once about teachers and tho I failed to qualify as a teacher with the dept of ed I would love to be in the class room helping other to learn not only poetry, history, and Arithmetic.
Thasnkyou for your time,
Keep up the good fight

Just wanted to say thanks for your hard work & dedication...I just caught the last of the interview w/Mr. Jeffress and his book Hell, yes!! I can’t wait to read it; sounds like just what I need to help me with some memebers of my family. They (and many others) are so convinced that anything goes as long as “they don’t bother me! “ ...they just don’t get it that if you’re not for Jesus, you ARE against him. Thanks again. God bless you & your work.

What I really want to say to Dr. Jeffres is, let he who has not sinned cast the first stone. If ever I met him, I would ask him to show me the biblical verses that say it is wrong for women to lead a household and that it is wrong to be a homosexual; which I am sure he could produce. Then I would ask him to show me the verse where it said it is OK for him to judge. Leave that business to God, and remember that Jesus too was persecuted and considered to be “wrong” by those in power in his time. Also remember that Christians used to be in the religious minority and went through the same tortures that other groups now go through. I don’t wish to negate the Christian faith. It is beautiful. But I do wish to argue against hateful attitudes.

Hi Lauren,

Thank you for listening and taking the time to comment. As requested, here is a small sampling of Biblical passage addressing the subjects you raised. I’ll post a separate comment for each one.

Household leadership… Eph 5:21-33

“23 for the husband is head of the wife as also Christ is head of the church. He is the Savior of the body.”

On homosexuality… Romans 1:19-32

“22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools ... 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served something created instead of the Creator, ... For even their females exchanged natural sexual intercourse for what is unnatural. 27 The males in the same way also left natural sexual intercourse with females and were inflamed in their lust for one another. ... 28 And because they did not think it worthwhile to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong.”

On “judging"… 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (Paul, writing to the church.)

“9 I wrote to you in a letter not to associate with sexually immoral people-- 10 by no means referring to this world’s immoral people, or to the greedy and swindlers, or to idolaters; otherwise you would have to leave the world. 11 But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother who is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a reviler, a drunkard or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person. 12 For what is it to me to judge outsiders? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But God judges outsiders. Put away the evil person from among yourselves.”
