While I can’t speak about Baylor from personal experience, I suspect that if they use the terms “Christian” and “Baptist” like my alma mater does (Belmont U.), I wouldn’t hold my breath. 

These universities are good private schools in a mainstream, liberal arts sense (I would attend Belmont again), but don’t expect their administrators or faculty to operate any differently than those of secular institutions.

Even when I entered BU in the ‘90’s, they described it as “Baptist-affiliated… emphasis on affiliated.”  :-)

The reality about these schools is that they function no differently than secular institutions on the administration/faculty levels.
